What began as one location (the "Purple Library" in Erfoud) has blossomed into dozens. Many are class or club libraries; others are larger for a school. We focus on rural areas, especially in southern and southeastern Morocco, with clusters around Erfoud, Zagora, and Taroudant. These are primarily Amazigh communities.
Click the pins in the map below to learn some of the locations. Red pins identify sites where we worked with the Peace Corps; the purple square is a public library.
"Reading is the most beautiful thing in life, simply because it is our window to the wide world out there and a bridge between cultures east and west."
