Supporting the Women's Work Center

The Oliveseed Women's Work Center is providing tremendous opportunities to transform the lives of women, children, family members, and entire communities. Beginning in 2026, we are growing this Center into a sustainable social enterprise. If you're giving to the Women's Center, these are just a few of the ways your gift will enable women to learn vocational skills and do meaningful work, keep many more children in school, and improve the health, well being, and resilience of everyone around them.

$50 buys rice, potatoes, and vegetables for a week of lunches for the women as they work

$100 will install better lighting for the sewing areas of the Women's Center

$350 will buy kitenge fabrics, leather, glass beads, and other supplies so the women can make a round of products to sell

$500 will purchase another sewing machine and table, much needed right now

$1000 will build a water tank with filtering and upgrade the rainwater catchment

$3000 will add more solar panels, batteries, and much-needed power upgrades

Please contact Barb if you're interested in exploring other ways to help the Center. We're in need of a kitchen, and more sanitary kits are always needed to keep girls in school. Thank you!
